Capitol Hill, Monrovia – Liberia is preparing for takeoff as the nation readies itself to celebrate Aviation Week from May 5 to 9, 2025—a bold national forum designed to spotlight the power of aviation in driving development, boosting connectivity, and opening the skies to new possibilities.

Speaking to the national media in Monrovia on Tuesday, the Director of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA), Hon. Julius Dennis, underscored the urgency of demystifying aviation for the average citizen. “Most Liberians are not adequately informed about aviation activities. This week is meant to bridge that gap,” he said.

The event, themed “Connecting Liberia to the World of Aviation,” will convene major institutions including the LCAA, the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), the Aircraft Incident Investigation Bureau (AIIB), and the Roberts Flight Information Region (RFIR), alongside government officials, stakeholders, and international partners. The goal: to foster public engagement, strengthen institutional collaboration, and ignite national interest in the aviation industry.

Organized under the direction of Liberia’s top aviation authorities, the week will feature a vibrant lineup of events aimed at informing, inspiring, and involving the public. From informational sessions to awareness drives and sector-wide dialogues, the forum seeks to lift the curtain on the inner workings of air travel—highlighting how aviation fuels trade, tourism, safety, and national pride.

Whether you’re a student, professional, enthusiast, or simply curious, Aviation Week 2025 offers a rare chance to explore the vast world of flight and the Liberians working behind the scenes to keep it safe, efficient, and globally aligned. Hon. Dennis called on all citizens to participate and discover how aviation is not just about planes, but about progress.

As the countdown begins, Aviation Week 2025 is already being hailed as a pivotal moment for a sector ready to elevate Liberia into a new era of sky-high ambition.
