President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has added fresh faces to his administration, making new nominations and appointments across key government institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Food Authority of Liberia.
In an official announcement from the Executive Mansion, the President named Hon. Henry B. Fahnbulleh as Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt. Fahnbulleh, a seasoned diplomat, is expected to strengthen Liberia’s bilateral ties with Egypt and represent the country’s interests on the global stage.
Over at the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. Oscar F. Mulbah has been tapped as Assistant Minister for Public Affairs. Mulbah’s role will involve overseeing the ministry’s communication and public relations strategy, ensuring that information regarding Liberia’s security sector is effectively disseminated to the public.
The Food Authority of Liberia, a crucial institution tasked with regulating and ensuring food safety, also saw major appointments. Ms. Precellia Cherue has been named as Director General, with Ms. Georgette Gray taking the role of Deputy Director General for Administration. Meanwhile, Mr. Theophilus Ndorbor will serve as Deputy Director General for Technical Services. Their appointments signal the administration’s commitment to improving food security and regulatory oversight in Liberia.
In addition, the President appointed a seven-member Board of the Food Authority of Liberia, to be chaired by Dr. Teakon Williams. Other board members include Ms. Elizabeth T.W. Omoko, Ms. Nenneh Kamara-Chieyoe, Ms. Jackie Khoury, Ms. Princess Emjeken, the Transport Union of Liberia (as an institutional representative), and the Director General of the Food Authority, who will serve as Secretary.
The President emphasized that where necessary, these appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate. He urged the newly appointed officials to uphold the highest standards of diligence, commitment, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
As the Boakai administration continues to shape its leadership team, all eyes will be on these new appointees to see how they contribute to the government’s broader agenda of service and national development.
