Madame Jackie Monah Seah Alleges Assassination Ploy on her Life – Accuses Mr. Emmanuel Lomax
Monrovia Liberia: A court bailiff, Jackie Monah Seah-Kakar, has accused Mr. Emmanuel Lomax, a former National Patriotic Front General of sending armed ex-rebels to her house on December 14, 2017, to have her killed. According to Jackie, the ex-rebels severely tortured and beat her unmercifully with gun butts and cutlasses for jailing their bossman, Mr. Emmanuel Lomax, at the Monrovia Central Prison in the discharge of her duty as a court bailiff.
It can be recalled that the Liberian government in early December of 2017 arrested, charged, and sent to court Mr. Lomax and the Managing Director of Liasco Reality Incorporated and all its corporate officers for refusing to pay a loan indebted to GN Bank-Liberia in the amount of US663, 000.00. Initially, at a court conference, it was agreed by the parties to pay GN Bank-Liberia in four years at the rate of 13,000.00 per month until the full debt is exhausted. But regrettably, Liasco Reality Inc. and Mr. Emmanuel A. Lomax have failed to honor their obligation which landed them in jail at the Monrovia Central Prison.
However, Ms. Jackie Seah-Kakar whose responsible involves delivering legal documents, filing returns afterward, enforcing court judgments, bringing defendants before the court, transporting judgment debtors to jail, and releasing defendants from jail, was the one who took Mr. Lomax to jail after the court order. So, according to her and given her role played, it angered Mr. Lomax which caused his men of desperate NPFL assassins to go after her life.
Madam Jackie is not the lone person so far that has accused Mr. Emmanuel A. Lomax of sending hired assassins to her house to eliminate her. It can be recalled on July 23, 2017, two war crimes court advocates, Cllr. Joseph Doyan and Mr. Frank Dugbo of the Foundation for the Establishment of War Crimes Court in Liberia accused Mr. Emmanuel A. Lomax of sending ex-rebel generals to their homes to take away their lives for petitioning the United States Embassy near Monrovia and other diplomatic missions to pressure the government of president madam Ellen Johnson to establish a criminal tribunal to prosecute notorious warlords who committed war crimes and crimes against humanity during the horrendous civil wars in Liberia.
“I was kidnapped at my home at 10:00 pm during the night hour by absurdist ex-soldiers sent by Emmanuel Lomax and his accomplices and was taken to an unknown destination in the bush. I was made to drink my urine for three days. I was tied to a big tree in the bush they took me. When I defecated, they forced me to eat my feces. I was rescued by a hunter in the bush who saw me tied on the tree where they took me, Mr. Frank Dugbo told Democracy Watch newspaper.
But according to Ms. Jackie, since the unfortunate incident occurred she filed a formal complaint with the Liberian National Police and they assured her that they will look into the matter.
Below is the communication from the Liberia National Police confirming Madam Jackie’s official complaint.
“I had another painful experience on the night of December 14, 2017, and underwent extreme torture when armed bandits broke into my home around 2:00 AM. The armed bandits entered through the back door and specifically targeted me during the process, insulted, slapped me, and beat me with cutlasses or machetes, hit me several times with gun butts, and threatened to shoot me between my legs for allegedly jailing their boss at the Monrovia Central Prison”, she told our newspaper.
According to Ms. Sackie, she told our newspaper that to the best of her recollection, the armed ex-rebels that threatened and beat her were sponsored by a notorious former NPFL general, Emmanuel Lomax, who has been on the run for several days before being arrested by her and brought before the court as a judgment debtor that she later based on the court mandate took to jail as part of her duties.
According to her, during the court hearing on Mr. Lomax, the court was thronged and some of the people who had gone to witness the hearing were issuing all sorts of threats against the judges and court officers.
“I recognized the voice of one of the masked armed bandits to be that of a bodyguard of this feared former general; I informed the police investigating the incident and no arrest had been made up to my departure from the country in light of the fact that they assured me in written communication that investigation will be launched. However, our news outlet sent reporters both at the house and office of Mr. Emmanuel Lomax to get his responses to the allegation levied against his person but reporters were denied access to see him by his office staff and domestic security.
Madam Jackie also told our news outlet that she has undergone unlawful detention for not reporting to work despite her emotional state within the Bailiff system
“The government bailiff system has subjected me to persecution. The system has not protected me. The opposite occurred. I was instead given challenging tasks while emotionally stressed, I was required to work tirelessly beyond late hours and when I complained, I was threatened with dismissal. Despite my life being in danger, the bailiff system subjected me to harassment and intimidation. For fear of leaving my residence, I could not report to work as required nevertheless the government system demanded that I return to work. I was subjected to constant harassment, pay cuts, and subjected to detention. Officers are still detained for failing to follow instructions. I told my boss, that I was not emotionally stable and could not attend to duties. My boss ordered my detention where I remained for three days without food and water and any investigation ”, she told our paper.
