Monrovia-Liberia: A former senior staff of the Liberia Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Mr. Tarwion Gleedah has accused Mr. Emmanuel Lormax, a former NPFL General of carrying on a deadly plot to assassinate him. According to Mr. Gleedah, ex-fighters loyal to Mr. Lormax went to his home and used petrol bombs to set his home ablaze.
It can be recalled that Mr. Gleedah, a former senior staff of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission on August 19, 2008, testified against Mr. Emmanuel Lormax of killing his family during the heat of the Liberian civil war in Bong, where the National Patriotic Front of Liberia headed by jailed former Liberian President was based. According to Mr. Gleedah, his testimony at the TRC hearing is what angered Mr. Lormax to send ex-fighters to his home to set it on fire.
Since the incident, the Liberia National Police has arrested two persons linked to the petrol bomb on the home of Mr. Gleedah. According to the LNP, the two suspects are undergoing investigation. However, the Police preliminary finding has established that the two suspects are the bodyguards of Mr. Emmanuel Lormax.
